I was first introduced to StableLab through a talk by Raphael on governance in Munich. In his talk he explained the benefits and challenges of blockchain governance in simple terms, sparking my interest in the subject for the first time. I approached Raphael at the end of the talk, and we discussed the professional governance solutions StableLab has been pioneering. Lucky for me he mentioned the team was looking to expand. With a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Groningen, my background couldn’t be more atypical for this field. However, I was eager to apply my skills and learn everything there was to know about decentralized governance.
I joined StableLab as a Junior Governance Analyst and could not be happier about my decision. The team is filled with extremely talented and kind individuals who work diligently to enhance governance in the broader web3 ecosystem. With deep roots in Decentralized Finance, I look forward to diving into the mechanisms of DAOs and contributing to the development of optimal organizational structures. My vision is to leverage mechanism design to drive positive user behavior organically, fostering more efficient and effective governance models.
Like biochemistry, blockchain is a field full of complex systems, e.g., nodes, like cells, function independently while interacting in an intricate network. When correctly implemented, blockchains have the potential to serve multiple purposes, and one of my goals in web3 is to transcend finance and help decentralize other industries, with a particular focus on Decentralized Science (DeSci) and the publishing system.

I am incredibly excited to be part of a team renowned for its expertise in crypto governance and professional delegation services. Together, we will navigate the complexities of this rapidly evolving industry, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in web3 governance.
